More about BROWS

A lash and brow tint is a cosmetic procedure designed to add color to the eyelashes and eyebrows, providing a more defined and polished look to the eyes and face. During the tinting process, a specially formulated, semi-permanent dye is carefully applied to the lashes and brows. The tinting solution adheres to the hair, enhancing its natural color and adding depth. This procedure is particularly popular for individuals with lighter-colored lashes or brows who want to achieve a more noticeable and groomed appearance without the daily use of makeup.

Microblading

Differences between Microblading, Powder Ombre, and Combination Brows:

Differences between Microblading, Powder Ombre, and Combination Brows:

Microblading:
Technique: Microblading is a manual method that involves using a small, handheld tool with fine needles to create hair-like strokes on the skin's surface.
Result: The result is natural-looking, crisp, and defined eyebrows that mimic the appearance of individual eyebrow hairs.
Texture: Microblading provides a more textured look, resembling actual eyebrow hair, making it suitable for those wanting a more realistic and hair-like finish.
Maintenance: Touch-ups are typically required every 12-18 months, as the pigment tends to fade over time due to exposure to the sun and natural skin exfoliation.

Powder Ombre:
Technique: Powder ombre involves using a machine with a fine needle to create a soft, shaded effect. Instead of individual strokes, the entire brow is shaded or filled in with tiny dots of pigment. The inner part of the eyebrows is usually lighter, resembling a more natural look, while the outer parts are darker, adding depth and definition.
Result: The result is a more defined, filled-in appearance, similar to the look of makeup or a soft powder shadow. It is particularly suitable for those who prefer a more solid and filled-in brow.
Texture: Powder ombre provides a smoother and more solid look compared to microblading, creating a gradient effect from lighter to darker shades.
Maintenance: Touch-ups are generally needed every 18-24 months, as the pigment tends to last longer than microblading due to the shading technique.

Combination Brows:
Technique: Combination brows, as the name suggests, combine both microblading and powder ombre techniques. Typically, microblading is used to create the front portion of the eyebrows for a natural look, while the rest of the brow is filled in with the powder ombre technique for added definition.
Result: This technique offers a balanced and versatile outcome, providing the best of both worlds – the natural appearance of individual hair strokes at the front of the brow combined with the defined and filled-in look towards the tail of the eyebrow.
Texture: Combination brows have a harmonious blend of hair-like strokes and a soft shaded effect, creating a more polished appearance.
Maintenance: Touch-ups are generally required every 12-24 months, depending on the client's preference and skin type.

Permanent Brow Makeup Process

Microblading Process

Permanent Brow makeup is a semi-permanent tattoo technique used to create the illusion of fuller brows. We consult with our client about the best brow shape for their face and choose a color that matches the natural hair color and skin undertone. The brow area is then cleaned and numbed for the treatment. We offer 3 different techniques of permanent makeup that all create a different look. We offer Microblading, Powder Ombre and a Combination Brow.
Each method offers distinct characteristics, benefits, and outcomes. Choosing between microblading, powder ombre, or a combination brow depends on individual preferences, desired outcomes, and lifestyle considerations. If you are unsure of what you would like, no worries! During your consultation we will assess your needs and recommend the most suitable technique for your unique features.
Permanent Brow makeup consists of 2 appointments which are scheduled 6-8 weeks apart. The first appointment takes anywhere from 1-2 hours. This is when we decide what type of brow looks best on you! Remember, Eyebrows are Sisters, not twins! None of us have an extremely proportionate face. During the time we are numbing for 20-25 mins, we will go over colors, even doing color swatches on your forehead. Once the numbing duration is over we map and measure the brows and then pre-draw. Once you have approved the shape and color, we will begin! Numbing is added throughout the process to make it as comfortable as possible. Your retouch appointment will be scheduled for 6-8 weeks after. During this appointment, we will touch up any areas that may have faded or just need to be filled.

AFTER Permanent Brow

AFTER MICROBLADING

Day Of: Slightly tender, may still be a bit red and swollen

Day After: Skin may look a little pink, still slightly tender and swollen, brows will look dark with a hint of a red undertone. Shape may look intense.

Day 3-5: skin should not be red or swollen anymore. brows will still look dark and feel tight and itchy.

Day 6-11: brows may start to scab and peel. brows may become patchy looking.

Day 12-14: peeling and scabbing should be done. brows may start to fade. you may resume your normal routine.

Day 30: brows should be healed and you will be able to see the true intensity of the color

Remember, we all heal differently!

*Please contact a physician if any of these symptoms occur in the brow area: extreme redness, swelling, pain, fever, blistering scabs, foul odor

Aftercare is a MUST! Following Aftercare is extremely important! Keep your brows dry for the first 24-48 hours (Depending on the Treatment you received). You can still shower and wash your face if needed. Just be careful while doing so! Continue with this method for the next 3-4 days: wash your eyebrows at night with gentle back and forth motions. Pat dry and air out for 10 minutes, then apply a thin layer of A and D ointment. Keep your eyebrows as dry as possible when showering and washing your hair. Let them peel and scab on their own. Do not pick any scabs off! Picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment. Remember that your brows may heal a bit lighter and maybe have some complete fading in certain areas which can make them look uneven. This is normal! Remember that brows take 2 appointments to complete.

Permanent Brow Makeup Aftercare

Cosmetic Makeup Aftercare

Proper aftercare is essential for ensuring the best results and minimizing the risk of complications after getting permanent eyebrow makeup. Whether you've had microblading, powder ombre, or a combination technique, here are some general aftercare guidelines:

After the procedure, you should avoid getting your brows wet for at least 2 days, and avoid sun exposure, swimming, and exercise for the first week. You should also apply a healing balm regularly to keep the area moisturized and prevent scabbing. Expect Mild Flaking: - It's normal for the treated area to experience mild flaking or scabbing during the healing process. Resist the temptation to touch, pick, or scratch the treated area.
Doing so can disrupt the healing process and may lead to scarring or uneven pigment retention. Do not sleep on your face.
Avoid applying makeup or skincare products directly to the treated area for at least a week. This includes avoiding eyebrow pencils, powders, and creams. Avoid using harsh chemicals or exfoliants on the treated area during the initial healing period, as they can compromise the pigment retention. You can resume your normal routine in 10 days. Once they are healed, always apply SPF on them! Sun exposure will fade your brows.
Attend the scheduled follow-up appointments with your permanent makeup artist. These appointments are essential for touch-ups and ensuring that the color and shape of your eyebrows meet your expectations.
Be Patient: - The full healing process for permanent makeup may take several weeks. Be patient and allow your eyebrows to go through the complete healing cycle before assessing the final results.
Always follow the specific aftercare instructions provided by your permanent makeup artist, as their recommendations may vary based on the technique used and individual considerations. If you have any concerns or notice unusual symptoms, contact your artist for guidance.
